Good Morning!!!

Wowza, early day today. 8:45 and already so much accomplished. This morning I had to be to town by 7:30 am, poor Travis bought a new truck, took it through the car wash, and it got COVERED in scratches, as though they use sandpaper to clean their vehicles...strange. So it was off to the body shop to get buffed out. So, by now I am hanging out with my dad and daughter. We went on a little stroll this morning, Sophia on bike, I on foot, those are the times I wish I lived in town.
I am looking forward to a hectic couple of weeks, but I will SURVIVE!! I am off to California on Monday, will be there through Thursday for a conference. So, here's the hectic part, I am also going to Arizona in two weekends, and it is the week before dead week. Then finals. I hit the point yesterday, that I hate to hit, but it's the point where you all of the sudden say, " I just don't care anymore". I suppose that means I no longer have a little extra motivation to get through the term, so I have to use something else....I just have to do it. It is a crappy way to finish the term out. Oh well, as I said, I don't really care. Anyhow, hope to get some stuff done today, and possible have a low stress week while I am away, that way I can almost call it a vacation....hmmm.....vacation....

I don't know, I might be going crazy. BUT, it is 4:45 am, and I have been sitting here since 1:30.....hmmm. Can't sleep? Get on the web! Travis would love to know so he could call me a nerd. Oh well! I also have a little dream of designing a fabric line, so I like that she has recently done that. It is beautiful!

The reason it is funny is because I happen to know my little brother has a wonderful you-tube company (smart little guy) which is called "static sherpa sheep" and this made me think of him. I think little brother has a promising future, since this sheep (above) is found on a designers blog:

My design today.

So, today I had a design project due. I think it turned out well! I was pretty happy with the finished product (except about 3 things I would change). But it always feels good to finish one and move on to the next. Here is a quick once-over of the assignment. I was to research two designers: Armin Hofmann and Rebeca Mendez. Based on my research I was to design two wine labels, one for each designer, a pinot noir and a pinot gris. I was also to name the wine and come up with a bottling location, based on the research. So, without much further ado, here they are!

A day in the life....

Well, thank you Petra for the motivation to continue this....This is one of those things I started about a year ago, but didn't even post one single blog. I just set up the account and put it on the back burner. So, with my intent and Petra's motivation, I will start now, and hopefully continue to keep up with the updating.
For my first blog, I am going to give an overall: What have I been up to? Well, in my mind, I am SOOO busy, but that is because I am living in this life. I currently spend my days either at work or at school. (Until June, YAY Graduation!) I then come home and finish by doing homework, making dinner, and trying to not neglect my daughter and Travis, by spending some time with them, not always easy! (If I am really ambitious, I will maybe even clean some of the house). In June I will graduate with a bachelor's degree in art, focus areas are Graphic Design and Printmaking. So, possibly a lot of this blog may end up with great links and pictures of wonderful design, I love it in every form (print, interior, fashion, etc....).
